Laser/Ray Animation from Salvador Dali Painting
Im trying to animate the “laser/ray of light” coming out of the eye… And what im looking for is that look of lasers/plasma/ray guns from the old alien movies! Any suggestions!!
As if the ray is continuing…..

there are a few different radial blur effects that can help you create a light ray effect like that.
try this:
create a new solid, add the circle effect and add the cc radial fast blur effect.
in the radial blur settings change the ‘center’ property so that it is not in the center of the solid, maybe move it to the upper-right of the circle. adjust the amount to make the light ray longer and also set the ‘zoom’ property to ‘brightest’.
it should get you close.
