June 17, 2012 at 5:18 pmHi Guys, I had been having a very similar problem yesterday with a 70GB Prores Mov, worked fine on a mac but not on a PC. After spending a day uninstalling and reinstalling Quicktime and various codecs I eventualy tracked the problem down to Macdrive, it must be doing something odd to the file causes the problem.
Anyway I fixed the problem by using a program called hfsexplorer, its free and when I used to to copy the file across to one of my local drives it worked perfectly.
The only downside is that the prgram can only read macdrives and only alows you to copy files, it doesnt mount drives so you wont be able to directly use footage from the drive.
Hope this helps
