Lagging even with just simple text?

November 28, 2022 at 2:20 amI have a pretty good computer:
Nvidia RTX 2080 Super 8GB
64GB Ram (58GB allocated to Adobe products)
Disk Cache (75GB enabled) on D: SSD
Conformed Media Cache on C: SSD
50% zoom, quarter preview
But even if I just have a couple text layers popping up the green render line can’t keep up with it and it chugs.
Is this normal behavior or is there some other settings I should try?

November 29, 2022 at 2:55 pmAe doesn’t run much in real-time, but a couple of 2D text layers is normally doable!
That said, there are number of features that can sneakily crank up your render times. Are you using the Classic 3D renderer, or the CINEMA 4D renderer? Are they 2D or 3D? Are you using motion blur or depth of field at all?
You can use the Composition Profiler to see what’s dragging your render times down. Click the snail icon in the lower left corner of the timeline panel. This will reveal a column in the timeline that shows you the impact that each layer, feature, and effect has on render time:
