    Hello

I have a minor problem that is becoming a bit of a pain. I have three Lacie FW drives hooked up to my G5. I need all three for a project I’m working on. Lately, they seem to go to sleep after a few minutes. Whenever I haven’t done anything in FCP for some time and I return to FCP, they need to fire up again, just like they were set in standby mode or something. This takes about 10 seconds, which is not much but annoying just the same.

I noticed that one of them is incorrectly set to Journaling, could this be the problem?

    Many thx in advance
    Michiel

check your Energy Saver settings in your System Prefs. Ensure than everything related to putting hard drives to sleep is turned off.
