Kona LHe, Strange AUDIO capture problems
Im using Final Cut Pro to capture audio from a DAT deck and running into some serious problems. The project is a feature and all the HDCAM tapes have already been digitized using the Kona LH 1080psf 23.98 DvcProHD Preset. I connected the DAT deck via AES/EBU, mapped the inputs in the Kona Control Panel and when i tried capturing JUST the audio in FCP i got an error message saying, “Cannot Capture as there is no video” (or something like that). The confusing part is that in the clip settings only AUDIO is checked. Video is left unchecked and I see the color bars indicating no video for preview?>
Am i overlooking something important here? Is there a special AJA preset that i should be using for just audio?

I am pretty sure you have to send the KOna Video (from anywhere) and then try and capture audio only.
