    Hi,
    I just installed the LHe board into slot 3 of my Mac Pro but had to reconfigure the setup to:

    slot1_16 lane for graphics card
    slot2_x4 lane
    slot3_x4 lane
    slot4_x1 lane

    Although the AJA documentation says it can be put into any x4 slot, the Expansion Slot Utility shows that the card is “running below the maximum speed”. It there any advantage of putting the board in an x8 slot?

    leave it in slot 3. your results are identical to all installations in the MAC Pro.

    Same for a g5 quad core?

    G5 Quad Core, 4.5 MB RAM, Dual Dell 1905FP’s, KRK RP-5’s, DSR-11, FC Studio 5.1.2 OSX 10.4.8
