  • Kona LHe: Downconvert on capture?

    I’ve got a simple question:

Does the Kona LHe do downconverting to SD on capture?

Also, does anyone have any experiance comparing IMX recored material to HDCAM materil down-converted.

Yep, you set this up in the AJA Control Panel. In FCP, you simply set up to capture at whatever SD codec you want to capture to (DV, DV50, 8 / 10bit).

In the AJA control panel, set the format to the input signal and in FCP, choose your SD capture preset and you’re all set. You may also want to check the downconvert setting in the AJA control panel if you are using an SD video monitor.

Great great… Might be an option to do this then. Thanks!
