Are the Kona LHe and Xena LHe the same cards physically? With the only difference being the drivers required for PC or Mac? I recall seeing something a while back in the support area on the Aja site about this but now can’t find it. Seems there was a licensing agreement that had expired and you could now run a Kona as a Xena in a PC.

I have an older Kona LHe and want to try it in a qualified PC.

    Thanks!

I know that the Xena2k and the Kona3 are exactly the same.
    I’m using a “Kona3” as a Xena2k right now.

I would assume it would be the same for the LHe.

we´ve installed a Mac pro (intel) + a aja xena lhe with bootcamp, and in macos it works with final cut like a kona amd in windows xp it works like a xena lhe under liquid chrome / adobe cs 3.works fine.
Only need the driver for each S.o.

As has been stated, the Kona/Xena physical part is the same.

    Kona LH/Lhe= Xena LH/LHe

    Kona LHi = Xena LHi

    Kona 3 = Xena 2K

…and note that technically they aren’t -operating system- specific. They’re -application- specific. Kona is for FCP and Xena is for PPro/Vegas/et al. PPro on Mac OS needs a Xena (or technically Xena drivers).
