Kona LH component out problem!!
Hi all, just was wondering if anybody has had a similar problem with their Kona LH…
system- FCP 5.1.4/OSX 10.4/4gb ram/MAC G5 dual-PCIx
problem- I am printing/mastering SD timline to Beta SP UVW 1800 via component and after making several successful beta masters I now have a scrambled component output that I can’t correct. I’ve tried rebooting, shutting down, repairing permissions etc…I did try patching the FCP component directly to the monitor via component to make sure it wasn’t my Beta deck.
Should I re-seat the card or is there something else I should do?

Check your Kona control panel and make sure that you are in fact set to component and not composite + y/c. Reset your AJA easy setup.

Hi Jeremy, I did check my control panel last night and it is set to component. I am going to reseat the board this morning and I’ll reset the easy setup.

While you’re at it, check your cabling to make sure it hasn’t come loose. If you have another component cable, swap it out.

Thanks for your help. Aja support emailed me today and suggested I trash preferences…I finally got around to it..working like a charm.
