Kona 3 Codecs install mac Intel
We have a mac (motarolla) with FCP and After Efx. Quicktimes ahve been rendered out using the v210 (uncompressed 10bit) codec. I would like to use these Qts on another Mac (intel).
I have downloaded the v4 aja codecs and copied the .componet files into /library/quicktime.However, I still can’t see the qt’s. White screen.
What am I missing here? I have rebooted and reinstalled.
Is it a FCP issue (not installed) or an AJA codec issue on the intel mac?I am not MAC experienced, so it may be something obvious I have overlooked.

Did you install the AJA Macintosh Quicktime Codec 4.0 or did you just try to copy the drivers from one machine to the other?
This will not work. You need to install the AJA Macintosh Quicktime Codec 4.0 for this to work properly.

Well, I did install… I think.
Whyen I doenload the v4 drivers on the MAC it does yell at em that there is a application. I hit continue and I am left with a folder that has a PDF and the 2 componet files.
The PDF tells me to copy the files in to /library/quicktime.

Did you reboot your system?
If so, I’d suggest contacting AJA support. They are the best.
