  Kona 3 Avid MC 6.5. deck configuration

  Hi,

  I installed an AJA Kona 3 card on a clients Avid Workstation (MC 6.5.) and everything seems fine so far: Avid Kona 3 is shown on top of program after opening, I can open the kona – tool out of the application, an even in capture- and digitalcut – tool Kona 3 is shown as an in/out option. I also captured via crash record and everything (video and audio) comes in perfectly

  Unfortunately I can´t control the deck because in deck configuration I only read “direct on no port” while in the AJA_Avid Software Bulletin it´s said that the card should be availiable in the deck control as “Aja Kona 3 serial” (instead of the “no port”) But as the z400 has no embedded serial port I now wonder how this should work!?

  So – what can I do that the Kona 3 is recognised in the Deck Configuration Tool?

  Any ideas out there?? Thanks for reading so far and I would highly appreciate any suggestions.
