Hi all..I am running a kona 2 in my g5 dual 2.5 and am using FCP studio and Tiger…Where to begin..Basically after a day of digitising my footage which is shot HDCAM at 23.98..I noticed some of the shots..well most of the clips have a 3 to 4 frame audio sync issue..Audio before video..I don’t know how this could occur since I am capturing using the sdi with embedded audio..I checked all my settings and everything is setup correctly….One strange thing is sometimes the slate is out of sync (audio 3 frames early)..but if i click in the middle of the clip and play it seems to be back in sync..HELP..What is going on????

Is your playback offset set to 0? Default is 4 frames, so if it’s not been re-set, set it to 0.

Were you transcoding while you were capturing? Which version of the Kona 2 drivers were you using?

No..I was not doing anything but Batch capturing..I am running Driver 1.1.1 as told to me by aja..Just a note..the files are off by 3 frames (audio sync) when captured..The actual QT file is wrong..not just playback from FCP…ARGH..I think this might be a deck issue..I am using a sony J-H3..but am trying to get a SR deck to test with. Will keep all informed..Thanks

So just to be clear. Are you capturing 1080p24 in uncompressed HD using the Kona 2 or are you downrezzing to DV or some other codec? What kind of hard drives are you capturing to? What deck are you using?
