Kodak Zi8
Hi everybody and sorry if this is a stupid question.
I have some files generated by the Kodak Zi8. I’m trying to import them to FCP. Once they are at the browser and I insert them onto the timeline I’m not getting the option to render the video (only audio). Then if I ply the clip, on the canvas it is shown perfectly but on viewer it shows like if it is missing frames. What I am doing wrong and what is the right way to do this?
Can anybody help me? I’m pretty sure it is a simple thing that I’m missing but the problem is that I don’t know what it is.

Search here for Canon 5D threads. The Kodak shoots the same H264 codec at the wrong frame rate with the added extra of encoding the audio as AAC.
You need Compressor to convert all of those issues to something FCP is happy to edit, but search first as this has been more than dealt with.
