I’m looking at the Sony Z7U as my next camera acquisition. There is an HDMI output that could conceivably feed the Ki Pro but I do not know if that particular camera has the full bandwith live signal necessary to record directly onto the Ki Pro.

Anyone use HDMI output to Ki Pro on these lower end cameras?

    Thanks,
    Mark

its actually a great way to get higher quality images out of this type of camera, as the video out signal is usually not run through any compression, so the captured image is going to be higher quality than the HDV/ AVCHD/ H.264 that is recorded in the file.

test it for your self- record in the camera and the kipro at the same time and see for yourself, in the look and in the post workflow.
