I’m using Keylight to key some green screen footage that’s been compressed to DVCPRO HD and I’ve been getting a bit of what looks like artifacts in the footage after the key has been applied. Has anyone ever experienced this?

When I use the Color Key plug to key the green, the artifacts don’t appear, but the ability of that keyer is lacking. Any suggestions or advice, would be great.

Yes, the artifacts appear as noise, and are not throughout the whole final image. The noise is spotty, but when looking at the matte, the alpha is solid white.

Thanks, that’s a great plan. I should have thought about using the alpha from the good key, and that’s good advice on using a lite version of the effect, because it does serve as a good spill suppressor.

Thanks for your help, it was very valuable.

I’m having the same problem with keylight and noise. How do I do a two step key?
