keylight problem: the plugin itself
Hey all!
I am having an issue with keylight.
last year, my company purchased three computers. two of them are no-nonsense, bare boned dells (i dont have the specs on hand). the other is a boxx computer.
WS DUAL XEON X5355 2.66GHz, 8MB cache, 1.33 GHz FSB (Quad-Core)
4GB FBDIMM DDR2 667 REG ECC (4 -1GB FBDIMMS)
NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 768MB PCI-E
150GB 10,000rpm SATA 16MB Cache
500GB Serial ATA RAID 0 Array (2x 250GB 7,200rpm)
18x Dual Layer DVD–RW Writer
3 Port Firewire 800 (1394b) Adapter
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio (Windows Only)
Windows XP Professional Edition SP2
=====================================now, the boxx out performs the dells in EVERY sense except when using keylight in After Effects, it lags whenever i do ANYTHING: apply the effect, pick a color, adjust any of the settings, ANYTHING, it takes a good 15 seconds to preview the frame (the dells will almost IMMEDIATELY update). rendering also takes quite a while. we’ve done tests rendering the exact same clip using the exact same plug-in updates and the exact same After Effects, and the boxx, once i’ve finally got the key all set up, takes twice as long.
i love keylight, and i’ve never had an issue with it before. i’m just so confused as to why a machine that is so quick with everything else is so slow using keylight.
any insight would be amazing.
thank you,
