  • Keying Graphic with Drop Shadow

Well… call me stupid. I have read the manual though and can’t seem to find my answer. I need to key in a graphic that was created originally in photoshop. The graphic is a photo JPEG and exists as a white over black graphic. The graphic keys fine but I need to put a drop shadow on the graphic and can’t seem to make anything work. This is such a simple thing tha i’ve done hundreds of times in the old analog world with a switcher equipped with a shadow keyer. Any ideas?

Open the graphic in the viewer, go to motion tab and turn on the drop shadow check box. Adjust opacity, depth and softness to taste. That should take care of it.
