Keyframing
Hello,
Im trying to figure out a good way to save a little space for vimeo exports. As of right now I export from final cut through quicktime conversion, h.264, frame rate current, best quality @ 1280×720. I find the when adjust the keyframes in export can alter the file size drastically. From my research I know that the keyframes are the places to where you can scrub or shuttle on your exported video. What else does it affect? I also use these files as my source video down the road if things need to be changed and capture/source video has been deleted. I understand h.264 is not ideal editing codec, but I have found no problems using it. Can someone tell me what happens to my file if I bring it back in to final cut to edit it if I exported at something besides “All Keyframes”? Do I lose quality? Frames? Frame rate? anything?
Thanks for your help,
