Keyframed stills stopped showing (black in canvas) after rendering
I ve been working on this long project for a while, timeline gets build up with video, images, effects etc. A few days now there are some keyframed .psd images that wont playback at all when rendered. Blackness.. Someone mentioned the same thing in this forum but there was no answer given in the end of the thread. Images are PSD with color space being RGB..
I ve been doing tests with a particular psd image, converted it into tiff, jpeg, deleted rendered files, repaired permissions…no luck..
I dont want to trash my fcp preferences, yet..
Also issues with some very simple text clips with basic motion keyrames, will play half their duration then black..
Any ideas whats going on..I ve had this in the past with another machine and fcp6, where weird things like this start occurring once a project gets complicated..
Running FCP 6.0 on intel iMac, 4Gb RAM, media sits on external FW800 HD, render folders are on main disk inside iMac.

Hi Anastasia,
this may not be the reason of your problem withe the .psd, but I would start by updating FC.
FC 6.0.0 probably have been the most buggy version ever in FC.

Update to FCP 7 or just the 6th version..?
To be honest i am a bit afraid to update as i ve done it in the past and new problems arose…I ve been following the “if aint broken dont fix it” route so far but maybe now it is broken!Most certainly these issues are bugs since the same stills played fine earlier in the project..
Any other ideas?

FC 6.0.0 is very much broken.
Apple released FC 6.0.1 just few days later.
