Im playing with an effect and want to keyframe all the parameters so I can alter the effect parameters over time and then loop back to the initial parameter settings.

Is there a way to keyframe ALL parameters of an effect?

If all parameters will share the same value, you can keyframes 1 parameter and then alt-parent each other parameter to that one. If all your parameters are different and you want to animate them individually, you can press the stopwatch for all your parameters at the first frame of your comp, hit U on the keyboard so you can see them all in the timeline, go to the end of the comp and set another keyframe without altering any value (using the little diamond button). Then, in between those two keyframes you can add as many keyframes as you want, for each property.
