    Hi Everybody,

weird problem since a while, rather small, but still annoying:

I have a Swiss/German Keyboard connected to my MacBook Pro.
Now certain short Cuts, do not react on that languag setting anymore (e.g. Shift+Command+8 for Log&Transfer Tool). Only when I go into Tools->Button List and clear this short Cut and re-enter it over my Swiss Keyboard, then it is working. But when FCP is closed down, on the next re-opening of the App, same problem again.
Any idea why that happens? Was not always like that.
    Thanx for your thoughts.

    Greetings,

Pref files corrupted or not in the right place?

I don’t know. Preference files should be all in the right place. Don’t know if they are corrupted, but I think, I trashed them once not too long ago. I should try that again?

I’m guessing that when FCP boots, it is seeing some inherent code or identifier in the keyboard and creating an “expected” preference associated with that model that’s not the one you want. If that’s the case, i think it is going to take some coding voodoo to make it behave. but trash prefs and try it anyway, it can’t hurt.
