Keyboard Layout keeps messing up with FCP7
Hi,
I asked the question before and I looked everywhere… obviously many people have the same problem as I do, I know of some german colleagues who are pretty annoyed by this… but there is no solution to find anywhere.
Since I upgraded to snow leopard and FCP7 I have the problem that sometimes (I can see no pattern there) the KEyboard layout is messed up when starting Final Cut. I can’t even reset to the standard keyboard layout because Final Cut keeps telling me that its not for german language. I can’t assign several keys and they keep changing while configuring other keys.In Short…. the whole keyboard layout tool is totally messed up and no resetting is possible.
This problem used to disappear when rebooting my Macbook.Most people told me its a clean install problem but its not. I just got a brandnew Macbook Pro, installed Final Cut Studio and now this problem is permanent on this machine. So a clean install made it even worse. Obviously its a FCP7 Problem that appears on non-english machines. I know of people who already think about moving to Avid or Premiere because of this annoying thing. Is there no fix for this problem and is Apple sleeping over this bug for 1 year now?
I am working with german Keyboard Settings on Macbook Pro/Snow Leopard. If anybody has some workaround to this I’d be more than thankful.

If you want steer clear of any problems relating to non-English environment, i.e. problems with shortcuts and the like, always install only US English language OS X and use US English keyboard layout while working with any application from FCS. If you ignore this simple rule you risk putting yourself on the precipice of all possible problems.
