Is there a keyboard command to select clips connected to the primary story line?

No. But what are you trying to accomplish by selecting the connected clips? Perhaps there is another way to accomplished what you want to do.

I want to select it to color correct it or change some other property. Or to grab it so I can drop it down to the main storyline. Or to move it up a layer when I have a photo collage going on. I can think of dozens of reason to want to select something other than what’s in the primary storyline.
