  • Key to accurate audio scrubbing/syncing?

I am doing one of my favorite things: completing a project. The last step is adding the voice over. Using premiere CS4 to sync the edited track, I am getting distorted/cut off syllables on the VO (using headphones and speakers, rendered/unrendered within premiere). VO track is perfect when played outside of NLE in VLC, win media player etc.
Is there a way to set up my machine to get more accurate audio preview?

What kind of audio hardware are people using to achive accucate audio preview?
Is the performance within CS5 any better?

    Running: windows 7 64 bit, CS4, 8 GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Quad Q 9300-2.5 GHZ, Nvidia 9800GT, Gerneric
    Thanks.

Top right of the sequence window…panel menu.

    Check “Audio units”

Your timeline will now move/cut/etc you audio in sample or miilisecond increments depending on how your prefs are set…and the scrubbing will be what you hope for I think…
