Key In and/or Repeating Balls
Hey,
Is there a way to use color key (or Keylight, etc) to select a range of color you want to remain while removing everything not in the color range?
I have a bunch of blue balls I want flying around a space. I only shot so many, so I want to duplicate just the balls for the appearance of more. Whether I can manage to key blue in or not, I feel as though there has to be a simple way to do this.

You can key out a color and then just invert the alpha thus created.
As far as multiplying the balls, once you have them with an alpha, all you need is basic compositing.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

I figured this out. I used a Difference Key and selected a few of the colors in the area surrounding the object, which thankfully didn’t include any colors close to it. Only took three eyedroppers to clear out everything but the balls.
