    Key Frame title text size

    I have added a title to my storyline in FCP X. It does not seem possible to
    keyframe the text size for titles (?) What am I missing?

    I place the playhead at the start of the title, set a size – and move the playhead to end of title
    and set a larger size, but the size does not change, and no keyframe is added.

    I must be missing something.

    You don’t want to keyframe the text size as – even if it were possible – it would result in a steppy animation. The easiest way to achieve a dynamic resize is to keyframe the scale transform parameter.
