    Hi there,

Can the Xena LH/LHe card output key & fill from its two independent SDI outputs? Ie. If you are playing back a 32bit clip from either the Xena software or an app like Premiere or After Effects can the RGB information be sent to SDI output A and alpha channel information be sent to SDI output B?

I currently use a DPS Velocity / Altitude system for this task, the system can play 32bit straight off the time line, outputting key & fill to the two individual SDI outs. However due to certain issues I am currently looking for alternative NLE systems that can perform this task.

    Thanks,
    Cal.

PS. The system I need has to be an NLE not an LSM or Viz type system. I have used & like the Kona 3 system, except I work mainly on PC.

I see your post sitting without being answered…I don’t have the answer, but hopefully changing the re: line might get some traffic.

I suspect the answer would be “no” as I believe the SDI outs need to originate from the same source…

    Thanks Tim,

Yes that’s what I’m trying to find out. I know that on Kona 3 & Kona LE systems there is an option in the control panel to select ” video & key” – this then allows video out of SDI 1 and key (alpha channel if you like) out of SDI 2.

What I’m trying to establish is whether this Kona funtion is available on their Xena counter parts?

    Cal.
