I’m making an acronym element and I want two text fields to be the same text (in the image this would be the letters. In Premiere in the effect controls panel, I want to have only one field so that my teammates won’t be confused as to which one to use. I already set up the script so that the text is copied from one layer in After Effects. How do I keep the other text layer from showing up in Premiere’s effect controls?

I tried putting it in a precomp, but it still shows up. Is there another way?

In After Effects, expand your two text layers so you can see the Source Text property. Then use a pickwhip to link the second to the first. Whatever text appears in the first text will appear in the second.
