JVC ProHD camcorder output to SDI

Have you encountered the issue of powering your Black Magic via anton bauer power tap and not having the unit operate properly with a fully charged Lithium Ion battery? I had heard some discussion about the unit needing constant 12v power supply and not a flexible range of power that is encountered with using the camera battery as its power source. Curious as to your workflow and application with the device as I am considering a purchase.

Nope. Since my cameras are all stationary (on tripods in our church’s sanctuary) I run all A/C power.
