  • JVC GZ-HM320U Render Settings?

Posted by Doug Hanna on May 16, 2010 at 10:44 pm

I recently purchased the JVC GZ-HM320U Camcorder.

When I import the footage to my PC, it looks beautiful! But unfortunately, I’m having a great deal of difficulty rendering it out and not losing any quality.

Does anyone happen to know the best render settings for this camera. (I don’t want to lose ANY quality.)

    Thanks!

It is impossible to not loose ANY quality once you edit the footage because it must be rendered. AVCHD is a lossy format and so some quality will always be lost when rendering but the trick is not to loose any “perceptible” quality.

Since the camera is AVCHD you should be able to use the Sony AVC render type with one of the the AVCHD templates and get extremely good quality.
