    Hi
i’m working on a very low cost film production.

we are going to release the movie in local theaters, we are planing to shoot it in jvc’s 700u – than edit in fcp – color grading using color than transfer direct to print using cinevator.

we need few thing in our shoot.

normal shots like out door and indoor, few night shots, but we also need some chroma green screen shoots.

so is the jvcs 700 u in mov file format – 24P is this the right choice?? I’m concerned about the chroma part. is jvc 700 will give me enough hi resolution for chroma or it will be same as dv format??

    please help.

    thanks

I’m not familiar with that camera, but if it records with 4:2:2 color space it’ll key fine. Even if it doesn’t you’re probably okay as long as you light properly. If you search the Cow you’ll find many discussions of keying workflows.

I recently shot a project with this camera that required a lot of greensceen, and if you light it properly you should be fine.
