    JVC DT-V243LD Monitor – Anyone see this problem?

    Hey,

    I’m using this monitor to color correct, mainly independent features and some cable tv stuff.

    Wondering…for anyone who has this monitor. When you put up a flat field pattern (neutral grey), do you see unevenness ( I’m assuming it’s in the backlight???). It looks a little splotchy.

    I’m using a Kona 3 to output video from a Mac Pro. I just want to know if this is indicative of this monitor or If I have a defective one.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    no – the JVC DV-V243LU (not LD) looks wonderful (for the price).
    It’s not a CineTal or TV Logic, but it looks teriffic for a $3500 monitor.
