Question: I have a new JVC BR-HD50U and I love it, however I use a Canon HV-30 to shoot some 24p on minidv cassettes.

I can’t get FCP to recognize the minidv cassettes shot on the Canon HV-30.

I have read soem posts that the tape format of Canon will not work on a JVC BR-HD50U. Yet other forums claim that they won’t. If they will work then I assume my FCP Audio/Video settings need to be changed. They are currently set to DVCPRO HD1080i50 Firewire. I can’t find any Canon settings in FCP.

    Feedback appreciated.
