I am just switching from Avid / Final Cut Pro to Premiere Pro.
Edited my first little sequence as a trial last week and everything was fine.
Today I started a new project and everything looks purple. The clips look normal when they’re in the bin but when I click one to play, it is purple and when I put one on the time line, it plays back purple.
I opened last week’s trial project, and that is now looking purple too but it was fine last week.
Any ideas? I am baffled. Never had FCP or Avid do this!

Try Menu Bar > Sequence > Delete Render Files… that might clear something up.

Alternately, what is the file format of your footage and are you using any playback hardware like Blackmagic, AJA, etc.?

Did you install recently any new video codecs?
