    just received footage i need to edit into another music video – do i need to transcode this for FCP7?

    the specs are:

    DV 720×576 (768×576 actual), millions
    16-integer
    25 fps

    This footage came from India. I imagine this is probably PAL.
    I’m wondering if i need to transcode this before editing in FCP7. If so then I will use compressor…i imagine the DV PAL setting?

    Should be fine as is…DV/PAL. Bring it in and drag it into a new sequence and you should be good to go.
