    im running Illustrator 10 and im very new to using it. all im trying to do is add a image into my layout thats a transparency. if i make the image in photoshop and bring it into Illustrator it still doesnt work as a transparency.

    someone please help. im new on this program and im just trying to knock out this one project.

    Do you want to make an image in Illustrator HAVE transparency?
    For that all you have to do is import the image, target the image layer (by hitting the circle by the layer) and then go to window – transparency. From there you can set the opacity or set a transfer mode.
