    Just lost deck control

    For some reason I have just lost control of my M2000p VTR – The Deck control application works fine but FCP wont see the deck (VTR OK occasionally flickers on but the capture window says no communication) I am using FCP 5.1.1 and 10.4.6

    The system has been working perfectly up till now – It cant be the Deck or the cable or the card – Its something in FCP – Ive trashed all prefs re installed deckilnk (ive got a pro HD 444 card)

    Cant work out what else to do!

    Hi Sean,

    When you say “trashed all prefs”, does it include the following files?

    com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist
    Final Cut Pro Obj Cache
    Final Cut Pro 5 Prefs
    Final Cut Pro Prof Cache

    Create another user account with admin rights. See if the same thing is happening there.
