just installed Vegas Pro 10
i’ve decided to go with the new Vegas pro 10 and take advantage of the upgrade offer.
I had Vegas Pro 9e.
no problem downloading but I automatically assumed that it would just replace the old version… I should have thought that one through…anyway—-i now have Vegas pro 9e and Vegas Pro 10a on my computer—-
Do I just now uninstall the older version? No issues with losing old timelines… I see that they are all stored somewhere else and when I open Vegas pro 10 I can access them..
but just want ot be sure nothing catastrophic will happen if i uninstall Vegas Pro 9e now…

To answer your question directly… it is perfectly safe to uninstall Vegas Pro 9.0 but I wouldn’t do it just yet. I would keep both versions for a little while until you are comfortable with the stability of Vegas Pro 10 on your system. You may run into a bug and have to go back to 9 for something… you never know. They both live quite happily together and I collaborate with other editors and keep several versions of Vegas on my system so that I can be backward compatible with them.
One thing to keep in mind is that projects are not backward compatible so once you save a project in 10 you cannot open it in 9. I would save off a final copy in 9 under a new name before continuing to work in 10 on a project.
