Just got a HDD with HDV now what?
I just had a customer give me a HDD with a hour of HDV footage captured in Sony Vegas. He wants the final output in SD. Since all files are in .m2t can I edit the HDV in Premeire and then just use the export movie feature to SD?

There is a bit of softness in the exp[ort to SD from an Adobe HDV project that will be fixed in Premiere Pro CS3.
If you must do this now, I recommend editing the HDV clips in an SD project with the clips scaled down as required.
