Just finished video review of Final Cut X
We did a video review of the new Final Cut X. There have been a great deal of complaints but we managed to figure out some pretty simple short cuts that help it make us happy.
Love to hear everyones thoughts.

I agree. Blowing up G3s will definitely make FCPX work much mo bettah.

Did you use FCPX o obtain the ultra smooth slow mo? (I guess not)

…. and FCPX in the garbage bin -
Not enough edits.
And FCP X wouldn’t run on that PPC machine anyway.

We did edit on a Mac. We like to complain but still on the Mac bandwagon I guess. Good news about constant updates and our computers being obsolete every 3 years is that we have plenty of stuff to blow up at high speeds.

Hard to have too many cuts when you get less then a second to cover the action and have to worry about ducking. 🙂
Yeah it wouldn’t run on this machine…that is why we felt comfortable blowing it up. Just thought it was a fun post…wasn’t intending it literally.

It’s funny because it’s true.
As a matter of fact, there’s a lot to watch blowing up in real time these days.

Nope. We only upgraded a few systems and left our others so we could actually be functional.
The ultra slow mo is due to the Photron SA5 we shot on. Shot at 7,000 fps. Would highly recommend it. Easy to use and the footage looks great. We’re going to post more over the weeks.
