JUST CHECKING — FCP 4.5 on TIGER work OK? (cross-post)
I’d like to use my Kona 2 card with my new Dual 2.7 G5 with FCP 4.5 on Tiger 10.4.1. Is this possible? (I’m hoping to hold off on the jump to FCP 5 a bit longer…) Any real-world experiences welcome.

The issues is not 4.5 vs 5.0, it is OS10.3 vs OS10.4.
You can run FCP 5.0 under 10.3.8 (or9) with QuickTime 7.1, on you dual 2.7 with the current KONA2 drivers.

As long as the install is clean, you should be good to go… i.e. new mac? just run Software Update to get the latest, then install FCP 4, update it to 4.5 etc… repair permissions and edit.
