While nothing detrimental, I wonder why FCP does not add the extension .mov to tapes being captured via firewire. We are constantly moving hard drives around, and every once in a blue moon the missing .mov extension creates a bit of havoc. While in 5.x I was able to add the extension in to the logging window upon tape entry, now when I create the tapes to be logged and add the .mov extension, it does not carry though. I have to manually enter it in to the project window or to the actual movie file. Again, not a matter of life or death, just a severe annoyance to myself. (And most likely, it is just a matter of clicking a switch somewhere…) Thought I’d ask…
    Thanks

    All the best,

I am using FCP 6. No big deal, just a small “if I could make it better” thing. Thanks Tom
