So I’ve made a simple animation in AE with two moving photos. A pan of a couple of hanging shirts in front of a grapevine. It looks good in AE and in Premiere before I render it but when rendered it looks a little pixelated, like I’m not at 100%, but I am, and it jumps a bit, like it’s sliding down some stairs.
What do you guys think, am I at the wrong frame rate or res or what?

Has it fields? Progressive doesn’t look too good when combined with interlaced otehr footage…

Sorry, I’m new to video. I’m not sure what you mean or how to fix it. Can you explain further or send me a link to something.

Assuming you are rendering to NTSC DV, your render settings should be 720×480 pixels, pixel aspect D1 (0,9) and you should render fields with lower fields first. Your comp should have 30 fps or 29,97 fps. Check the manual for “Render Settings” and “Output Module”.

Thank you very much for your help. I’m going to do all that stuff you just said. But you know what, I was clicking around whilst waiting for another post and unchecked ‘Frame Blend’ for the comp in question. Not sure what that means but it did the trick.
