    Hi, I understand that FCP is not backwards compatible but will I be able to access and work on all my projects in 5.1 Academic with the new FCP Studio v.& non academic.

    Yes you will. I’d make a copy of the 5.1 version to open in the event there’s a problem, but I’ve never seen any.
