    using Motion 4 / FCP 7

    we are doing moves (zooms and pans) on photos which look fine in the canvas, but after render on FCP timeline, relatively gentle moves often show judder or skipping (as objects move from one position to next the rate of movement is even, but they seem to move in discrete steps, not smooth motion). have motion blur, frame blending checked in motion (Not sure if these even affect renders in FCP vs export from Motion, do they?).

    Motion project and timeline are both 29.97.

    Any suggestions for smoothing out the appearence of motion — changing shutter angle? Other settings I’m missing? have tried normal and best render and they look same.

    Thanks.

    Make sure that the motion blur is actually turned on. I think it may be off by default.

    do you mean in the drop down menu on the render tab at the top of the canvas, or is there another place? does that tab control renders that happen in FC?

    Thanks
