  • JPG’s in timeline randomly glitch in export

So I am cutting a feature documentary and am having a problem with pictures I have in my timeline. I have a bunch of hi-res jpegs the director scanned in for me. I have some motion/scale keyframes on them. For some reason when I do an export random pictures will glitch out. I will get vertical bars (green/white mostly) instead of the image. The motion is there, but the image itself is glitching. If there is video under the photo I can see through part of the glitch to the video as well. Its very strange and seems to have no rhyme or reason that I can see. I thought maybe it was issues with the render files so I deleted them all and tried an export again and had the same issues. I have re-rendered sections and re-exported and it will be fine then like 2 or 3 exports later that same image will glitch on export even though I made no changes to it. I’ve used JPG’s before with no issues, but should I be using a different format with Premiere? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure that the scans you received are not larger than 4000 pixels along the long side of the photo.
