    Hello,

I’m trying to make an animation out of handmade drawings. But when I put my JPEGs into the timeline and click ‘play’, I don’t see the images but an empty white screen. They do work on the left screen, but just not on the right one. Also, my timeline is red. I assume this is the whole problem, but I don’t know how to fix it.

    Thank you!

Try rendering the timeline. We have just completed 5 major projects using 400+ jpeg 1920×1080 high definition images in each for use on a Sony 46′ Full High Definition Monitor using High Definition Tape via HDMI input, but, we render everything. Go to left side of window above Project File>Edit>Project>Clip>Sequence^ Click and Render Work Area. Good luck.

The red line should go to green, now play the timeline? Activate the timeline by clicking on the light blue window bar , it should go dark blue. You should have the images in the Monitor Window, we do not use split screen.

Karen, Make sure your images are the correct size (pixels)?for your Export requirement. Also the time in seconds for each image is set in Project Settings ours is set at 4 secs, we know nothing of animation but, I suspect this could be part of your problem, if it was set at 1 sec you may not see anything?

Right click on the JPEG scene on the timeline, and then Left click
“Scale To Frame Size” … your JPEGs should be playing anyway, but you might try this and see if it helps.

I would also suggest taking the file to Photoshop, and then saving it as a JPEG there … give it another file name, say with and “a” after the scene, and then put that Photoshop generated file into the timeline and see if it works.

I have lots of JPEG photos that are playing fine on the project that I am currently working on.

    Good luck …
