I have always wanted a JL Cooper controller. I finally got one, imported it from USA to South Africa, and now cannot use it.

Do you think JL Cooper will eventually make Win8 drivers? There service is shocking at the company. I have tried and asked many questions, eventually having to beg for a response… They do not strike me being pro-active and caring to much about after service.

I’m sure they’ll make Windows 8 drivers. Most ‘decent’ hardware companies do eventually make drivers when a new OS is released. Windows 8 has been available to hardware vendors for quite some time, so i’m surprised that they didn’t start making the drivers when the Beta came out. Maybe they did…..who knows.

I’m assuming you purchased this computer with Win8 installed? If so, just install Windows 7, if you need this device that bad. There is no logical reason to have Windows 8 unless you have something that can only run on Windows 8. Once they release the updated driver, then you can reinstall Windows 8.

This is further proof, for those that want to upgrade their operating systems, to make sure every bit of software and hardware they use is compatible to run on Windows 8. Never just assume!

I find Win8 much more stable with Sony Vegas. I had upgraded before I got the controller and pretty reluctant to go backwards.

I emailed them to ask if and when they are going to have Win8 drivers available, but no response as usual.

I’ll have to keep on checking their website.

Well, they eventually may make a Win8 driver soon, but its the
tardy response that tells a lot if a software company is serious
about further development.

Just bought the fantastic 13 year old controller mcs3, I have win10 OS found work round via JL Cooper support.
Use win7 driver disable win10 security
so win 10 can see the usb MCS3 controller.
How do you interface it with sony vegas pro 15

The controller is a great bit kit Id like to use it but this might be to much for the old girl!!”!!!
