JKL keys – LLL = super-fast. How do I get slow motion?
Posted by Christine Neuvil on August 20, 2017 at 9:51 pmI googled: vegas preview “slow motion” “j k l” OR “LLL” reverse fast forward, and variations upon that search, but could not find what is surely a simple answer.
How do I get slow motion using the JKL keys?Using Vegas Pro 13 on Windows 10

August 22, 2017 at 11:02 amThe JKL Keys are used for varying the Playback rates on the Timeline or in the Trimmer to allow you to review the events at a rate to suit your needs at the time. They do not edit the events to playback at different rates: for this you need the Velocity Envelope or the track extender button (press Ctrl at the beginning or end of an event and drag the cursor). The Help Menu has more information about these treatments as is a search of this forum.

August 22, 2017 at 6:11 pmJust press the L or J while holding the K down. You can step up or down in speed while continuing to hold K.

September 7, 2017 at 10:09 amThanks! Perfect!
(If I just give a thumbs-up / “like”, do you get notified of that? Do you think people would prefer to receive a “like” or a reply saying “Thanks!”)

September 7, 2017 at 10:15 amI press L once while holding down K, it plays slow-mo.
If I press L twice or more, while holding down K, I would have thought it would go even more slow-mo, but no, it goes faster.
I don’t know if I need to go slower than the one slow-mo speed, but … is there a way to preview in super-slow-mo?
