jittering footage from encore
Hi,
I seem to be having a problem with my dvds looking jumpy/jittery especially when the camera pans or moves.
Footage shot on Sony HDV Z1p. edited in fcp and exported looks fine, then stills looks fine in preview in encore. When i burn it however it looks very bad. Im just using automatic encoding in encore.
Any advice here?

Hi Jarrod,
It sounds like a field issue.
I know Encore has a problem with the “Automatic” transcode setting when using PAL footage – it reverses the fields causing the problems you describe. Are you using PAL or NTSC?
Try creating your own preset (based on one of the existing NTSC or PAL presets) and make sure the field order setting is correct.
